Channel management is the core of CoAI.Dev's AI service orchestration. It allows you to configure multiple AI service providers, implement intelligent routing, and ensure high availability through advanced load balancing and failover mechanisms.
What are Channels?
Channels are connections to AI service providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others. Each channel represents a configured endpoint that CoAI.Dev can route requests to based on your defined rules and priorities.

Setting Up Your First Channel
Access Channel Management
- Login to your CoAI.Dev admin panel
- Navigate to Channel Management in the sidebar
- Click Add Channel to create a new configuration
Basic Configuration
Fill in the essential channel information:
- Name: Descriptive name for the channel (e.g., "OpenAI Primary")
- Type: Select the provider type from the dropdown
- API Key: Your provider's API key
- Base URL: Provider's API endpoint (auto-filled for most providers)
Advanced Settings
Configure routing and performance parameters:
- Priority: Higher numbers = higher priority (1-100)
- Weight: Traffic distribution within same priority (1-100)
- Timeout: Request timeout in seconds
- Max Concurrent: Maximum simultaneous requests
- Rate Limit: Requests per minute limit

- Use the Test Connection button to verify configuration
